Autogenic Training is a relaxation method based on self-submission and developed by psychiatrist J.H. Schultz , who described it as "the yoga of western civilization". The method is based on Schultz's observation, that man with the help of his imagination and through self-submission is able to cause changes to the autonomic nervous system, which lead to relaxation and peace of mind.
