Hearing Loss

A partial or total inability to hear is referred to as hearing loss. Hearing loss can be present at birth or develop later in life. One or both ears may experience hearing loss. Hearing abnormalities in children can affect their capacity to learn spoken language, and in adults, they can cause social and occupational challenges. There are two types of hearing loss: temporary and permanent. Hearing loss caused by aging often affects both ears and is caused by the loss of cochlear hair cells.
