Personality disorders is a heterogeneous group of disorders characterized by long-standing, pervasive, and inflexible patterns of behavior and inner experience that deviate from the expectations of a person's culture. The person with personality disorder does not easily realize that his / her way of thinking and behaving is dysfunctional and that it contributes greatly to their problems. There are several types of personality disorders, with different symptoms and different behaviors. A person should definitely seek help from a specialist psychologist or psychiatrist, when the symptoms they experience are so severe as to disrupt their functionality, their interpersonal relationships become difficult due to these symptoms, they have suicidal thoughts or a desire to die, they hurt themselves in a way that is dangerous to their physical integrity and is a danger to others.
